Insurance: while we are not an in-network provider for health insurance companies, you may be eligible for reimbursement for out-of-network services or to receive reimbursement through your FSA/HSA. Contact your insurance provider to understand your eligibility.
Cancellation & missed appointments: in order to ensure we can provide services to all our clients and to honor the work we do together, you must give 24 hours notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment. If you miss an appointment or cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours before your time, the full session rate will be charged.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you do in person appointments?
No, currently, we only meet virtually via telehealth. Telehealth may not be appropriate in every case, in which case we would provide referrals for someone conducting session in person.
Do you accept insurance?
No, we are a private pay practice and payment is due at time of service. We may be able to provide you with a superbill, a document you can submit for reimbursement for out-of-network services or to receive reimbursement through your FSA/HSA. Contact your insurance provider to understand your eligibility.
Do you have a sliding scale?
Our sliding scale opportunities vary - please contact us to learn about openings.
How often do I need to see you?
This varies widely from person to person. Some people may come once per week and some people may come once per month. Frequency will be discussed with each person and can be adjusted as time goes on.
I don't think I have had any big trauma. Am I still a good fit for you?
Yes! You don't need to have had severe trauma to benefit from self-exploration work. Many people enjoy growth in their work, relationships, self-care, and personal insight from therapy.
I don't live in Ohio. Can I still see you for somatic therapy?
Availability varies - please contact us for details.
Good Faith Estimate:
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
This Good Faith Estimate shows the costs of items and services that are reasonably expected for your health care needs for an item or service. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created. The Good Faith Estimate does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment. You could be charged more if complications or special circumstances occur.
As a strength-based and client-centered practice, we empower our clients to determine their own course of mental health treatment (including but not limited to: frequency of treatment, choice of clinician, length of service). It is not possible to know in advance how many sessions a person may need. Ultimately, as the client, it is your decision when to stop therapy.
