Irene O'Neill
Considering therapy can be a big decision, let me introduce myself in a way that helps you decide if I might be the right fit for you:
Transitioning into a career as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) later in life has been an immensely gratifying journey for me. Before diving into counseling, I spent over a decade in corporate HR/Training & Development. With a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications from Fairmont State University and a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Dayton, I've developed a deep understanding of how to guide people towards healing, connection, and empowerment. My therapeutic approach is informed by my advanced trainings as well as over 25 years of personal exploration and healing work. A life-long learner, I remain committed to ongoing training, supervision, and consultation. |
Beyond being an LPC, I'm a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, a NARM therapist, a Professional Certified Coach and a Community Resiliency Model facilitator. My primary therapeutic focus is on the mind-body connection, and I use techniques to help clients integrate their experiences for profound transformation. Moreover, I draw on other methodologies including Internal Family Systems, Self-Compassion, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Entering therapy requires courage, and I consider it a great privilege to walk alongside clients on their journey. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, self-confidence and LGBTQIA2S+ exploration and challenges. Clients describe my approach as collaborative, playful, and honest, providing a safe and compassionate space where authenticity is welcomed.
Ultimately, therapy is about finding the right fit. If you're seeking a therapist who values connection, growth, and an integrated approach to healing, I'd love to explore how we can work together.
Irene's rate is $185 per session. She can be reached at [email protected]
